Aspron Trachy (Electrum, 30 mm, 4.10 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis. ✠ΘKЄ ROHΘЄΙ The Virgin orans, nimbate, standing facing on footstool, wearing pallium and maphorium; in fields to left and right, monogram of MHP and ΘV; on breast, nimbate head of Christ. Rev. ANΔPONIKⲰ [ΔЄCΠΟTH] On the left, Andronicus I standing facing, with forked beard, wearing divitision and loros, holding labarum in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left, on the right, Christ standing facing flanked by IC - XC, nimbate, wearing pallium and colobium, holding book of Gospels in his left hand and crowning the Emperor with his right. DOC 2b. SB 1984. The flan slightly wavy along the edge and with minor scratches, otherwise, about extremely fine.
